Paul Mazurskys 1976 film Next Stop, Greenwich Village is a poignant, humorous, semi-autobiographical tale about a young actor navigating 1950s New York. The story follows Larry (Lenny Baker) as he leaves Brooklyn for the Village, finding a vibrant social circlefeaturing Ellen Greene, Lois Smith, Christopher Walken, and Bill Murraywhile constantly contending with his larger-than-life mother, played by Shelley Winters.
