Celebrating the 50th anniversary of his solo debut, beloved titles from Japanese superstar guitarist Masayoshi Takanaka’s Kitty Years are newly remastered as part of this special release of Summer Kingdom. A key figure in the global resurgence of Japanese fusion, Takanaka continues to win new fans across Japan, Europe, and North America. Remastered from the original master tapes using highresolution audio and lacquercut at Abbey Road Studios in London by acclaimed engineer Alex Wharton, this edition delivers exceptional clarity and warmth. Originally released on July 10, 1984, the album opens with an invitation to escape the heat and immediately immerses the listener in a tropical, sundrenched world, from reggaeinfused grooves to Latin and funkdriven highlights such as “CUBAN HEELS” and “DANCING TO CAT GUITAR.” This 50th anniversary pressing is presented on 180g Clear Deep Blue vinyl, expanding the visual impact of the original jacket artwork while offering the definitive listening experience.
